Celtic Targe

The Targe, decorated round leather covered wooden disc, was the shield of the Scots, but also some other Celtic tribes as well. Not clan specific, the Celtic Targe was used to defend against both arrows and hand weapons. It was light, maneuerable and a mainstay item for survival. The shield is leather covered and adorned with the solid brass studs, dome and a spike.
