The Targe,
decorated round leather covered wooden disc, was the shield of
the Scots. Not clan specific, the Scots'
Targe was used
to defend against both arrows and hand weapons. It was light,
maneuerable and a mainstay item for survival. The
shield is leather covered, front and back, adorned with the solid
brass studs, brass plates and dome.
